Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Norwegian seascape by Peder Balke was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2011. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,296.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peder Balke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work „View of Fredriksten Fortress in Moonlight“. (Fredrikshald im Mondschein). in May 2017 with an auction result of EUR 125,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Norwegian seascape von Peder Balke kam im November 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.296,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peder Balke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit „View of Fredriksten Fortress in Moonlight“. (Fredrikshald im Mondschein). im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 125.000,00.
