Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June last year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Baby and Parents by Paw Oo Thet. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 20,400.00 (€ 2,482.53). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paw Oo Thet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pagan in May last year with an auction result of HKD 318,000.00 (€ 37,753.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Baby and Parents von Paw Oo Thet zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 20.400,00 (€ 2.482,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paw Oo Thet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pagan im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 318.000,00 (€ 37.753,42).
