Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Continental Paintings, which included the work Portrait Of Katerini Hadjithanasiou by Pavlos Mathiopoulos. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 7,180.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pavlos Mathiopoulos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Despina Trikoupi, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,190.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Continental Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Katerini Hadjithanasiou von Pavlos Mathiopoulos zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 7.180,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pavlos Mathiopoulos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of Despina Trikoupi beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.190,57) versteigert wurde.
