Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Weldon Collection, which included the work A Street In Rijnsburg With The Abbey Tower And The Old Walls Of The Begijnhof by Paulus Constantijn la Fargue. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,558.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Paulus Constantijn la Fargue have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Hague, A View Of The Binnenhof Looking North With The Ridderzaal; The Hague, A View Of The Groenmarkt Near The Westeinde Looking West in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 82,850.00 (€ 95,082.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Weldon Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Street In Rijnsburg With The Abbey Tower And The Old Walls Of The Begijnhof von Paulus Constantijn la Fargue zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.558,32) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
