Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Traders at the harbour, Naples by Paul Wilhelm Keller-Reutlingen was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in London in December 2004. The price achieved of GBP 4,780.00 (€ 6,765.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Wilhelm Keller-Reutlingen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Girl in a Field of Poppies, which sold at auction in October 2011 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,925.00).
