Auction result fails to reach estimate
In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work The Danish warship, Niels Iuel at sea by Paul Sinding for DKK 3,000.00 (€ 402.36). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 6,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Sinding - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Sea Battle at Helgoland May 9th, 1864, which sold at auction in February 2002 for GBP 881.25 (€ 1,438.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im Juli diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Danish warship, Niels Iuel at sea von Paul Sinding für DKK 3.000,00 (€ 402,36) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Sinding mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Sea Battle at Helgoland May 9th, 1864 beobachtet, die im Februar 2002 für GBP 881,25 (€ 1.438,11) versteigert wurde.
