In the Paintings, furniture and varia auction, the work Sailingships and fishingboats off the coast of Gilbraltar changed hands for DKK 2,700.00 (€ 362.13) - just shy of the DKK 6,000.00 estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Sinding - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Sea Battle at Helgoland May 9th, 1864, which sold at auction in February 2002 for GBP 881.25 (€ 1,438.11).
