This artwork by Paul Seignac achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in August 2006. In the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction, the work A comforting word sold for GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,996.53) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Seignac - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Learning to count, which sold at auction in March 2003 for GBP 8,812.50 (€ 12,766.00).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Seignac erzielte im August 2006 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit A comforting word für GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.996,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Seignac mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Learning to count beobachtet, die im März 2003 für GBP 8.812,50 (€ 12.766,00) versteigert wurde.
