Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work French cavaliers Dans Le Desert by Paul Philippoteaux. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,033.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Philippoteaux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the Souk in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 132,000.00 (€ 103,342.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit French cavaliers Dans Le Desert von Paul Philippoteaux zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.033,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Philippoteaux erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In the Souk im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 132.000,00 (€ 103.342,99).
