Auction result well in line with expectations
The work French cavaliers Dans Le Desert by Paul Philippoteaux was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2013. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,960.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Philippoteaux have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In the Souk in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 132,000.00 (€ 103,342.99).
