Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Madame Verdier by Paul Peel was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2011. The price achieved of CAD 6,000.00 (€ 4,308.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Peel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Girl in June 2010 with an auction result of CAD 48,000.00 (€ 36,819.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of Madame Verdier von Paul Peel wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 6.000,00 (€ 4.308,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Peel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A Girl im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 48.000,00 (€ 36.819,14).
