This artwork by Paul Peel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Il Ponte in May 2018. In the Dipinti e sculture XIX e XX Secolo auction, the work Amore materno sold for EUR 32,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paul Peel; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait Of A Girl sold at auction in June 2010 with the realized price of CAD 48,000.00 (€ 36,819.14).

In der Auktion Dipinti e sculture XIX e XX Secolo wurde die Arbeit Amore materno für EUR 32.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 18.000,00.
