Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Wood - Illustration for King Lear, Act 2 Scene III by Paul Nash was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 3,584.00 (€ 4,153.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Nash achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bridge, Romney Marsh in October last year with an auction result of GBP 352,800.00 (€ 411,008.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Wood - Illustration for King Lear, Act 2 Scene III von Paul Nash wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.584,00 (€ 4.153,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Nash erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bridge, Romney Marsh im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 352.800,00 (€ 411.008,09).
