Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2004 Christies in London held the auction AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Peonies In A Vase With An Ornamental Plate by Paul Mathey. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,314.50 (€ 1,891.93). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Mathey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Connoisseur, possibly Erastène Ramiro (1853-1928) in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 47,750.00 (€ 56,093.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peonies In A Vase With An Ornamental Plate von Paul Mathey zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.314,50 (€ 1.891,93) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Mathey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Connoisseur, possibly Erastène Ramiro (1853-1928) im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.750,00 (€ 56.093,95).
