Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Lyndon Goodwin Harris Collection of Watercolours by Albert Goodwin, Joseph Edward Southall & Other Artists, which included the work Warwick Castle by Paul Marny. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 400.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 420.00 (€ 633.68). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Marny - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mozes near Fontainebleau, which sold at auction in December 2001 for GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,727.81).
