In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Vase by Paul Manship. The result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,141.39) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Manship achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indian Hunter And His Dog in December 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,135,786.34).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vase von Paul Manship zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.141,39) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Manship erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Indian Hunter And His Dog im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.565.000,00 (€ 1.135.786,34).
