Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Sausages, Carrotts, Asparagus, Dead Game And A Lemon Hanging Above A Basket of Eggs And Celary by Paul Karslake. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,075.50 (€ 1,591.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Karslake - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A lobster, onion, caviar, garlic and lemon with a bottle of Petrus, which sold at auction in May 2005 for GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,606.10).

Im August 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sausages, Carrotts, Asparagus, Dead Game And A Lemon Hanging Above A Basket of Eggs And Celary von Paul Karslake zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.075,50 (€ 1.591,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
