Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Lust by Paul Karslake for GBP 168.00 (€ 245.93). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Karslake achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A lobster, onion, caviar, garlic and lemon with a bottle of Petrus in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,606.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Lust von Paul Karslake für GBP 168,00 (€ 245,93) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Karslake erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A lobster, onion, caviar, garlic and lemon with a bottle of Petrus im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.120,00 (€ 4.606,10).
