Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work A Bottle of Wine, Cheese And Bread, With A Jar of Cherries To The Side by Paul Karslake for GBP 264.00 (€ 392.05). This price was achieved in the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Karslake achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A lobster, onion, caviar, garlic and lemon with a bottle of Petrus in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,606.10).
