Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Showa Era (1926-1989), 1938-1948 by Paul Jacoulet was sold in the Fine Japanese and Korean Art, including the Crawford Collection of Surimono auction at Bonhams in New York in September 2021. The price achieved of USD 2,167.50 (€ 1,872.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Jacoulet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Showa Era (1926-1989), Circa 1934 in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 31,325.00 (€ 27,899.00).
