11 Christmas cards, each attached with a small colour woodblock print, (one with an inscription by the artist), a loose print of the same size, and four handwritten letters by the artist, 12 designs comprising: ORCHIDEES BLANCHES. JAlUit. [sic]; LE TRESOR (Coree); Nuit de Neige: Coree.; Le Bonze Errant- Coree; DECEMBRE. Japon; Longévité (Coree); Les Jades: Mandchoukuo.; PELERINACES [sic] (Japon); LA CRUCHE, Mongolie; Le Nid: Coree.; Souvenirs d'Autrefois Japon; and FLEURS DU SOIR (Truck); each signed Paul Jacoulet with the artist's seal. Each card: 17cm x 11.5cm (6 11/16in x 4½in); each print: 15.7cm x 11cm (6 3/16in x 4 5/16in). (16).

Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work 11 Christmas cards by Paul Jacoulet was auctioned at Bonhams in London in May this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,233.93). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Jacoulet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Showa Era (1926-1989), Circa 1934 in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 31,325.00 (€ 27,899.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit 11 Christmas cards von Paul Jacoulet kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.233,93) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Jacoulet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Showa Era (1926-1989), Circa 1934 im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.325,00 (€ 27.899,00).
