Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2009 Christies in London held the auction Photobooks, which included the work RFK Funeral Train. New York: Magnum Photos and Umbrage Editions, 2000. by Paul Fusco. It changed hands for a price of GBP 937.50 (€ 1,072.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Fusco have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work RFK Funeral Train in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 5,670.00 (€ 4,713.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion Photobooks durch, in der auch die Arbeit RFK Funeral Train. New York: Magnum Photos and Umbrage Editions, 2000. von Paul Fusco zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 937,50 (€ 1.072,49) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Fusco auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit RFK Funeral Train im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.670,00 (€ 4.713,22).
