Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Falconer Poole could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the PORTRAITS, BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PAINTINGS auction, the work The Young Laird; And The Orphan changed hands for GBP 956.00 (€ 1,375.20) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Falconer Poole achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'The Conspiracy of Sebastian and Antonio', central panel of a triptych in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 81,260.00 (€ 118,637.04).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Falconer Poole konnte im November 2004 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion PORTRAITS, BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PAINTINGS wechselte die Arbeit The Young Laird; And The Orphan für GBP 956,00 (€ 1.375,20) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00.
