In January 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Outside the window by Paul Émile Lecomte. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,110.61), 44% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Émile Lecomte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sur La Plage in January 2016 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 24,552.25).

Im Januar 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Outside the window von Paul Émile Lecomte zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.110,61) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Émile Lecomte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sur La Plage im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 24.552,25).
