Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Paul-Émile Borduas was auctioned at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2012. It changed hands for a price of CAD 33,000.00 (€ 25,540.12) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of CAD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul-Émile Borduas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Froissement Multicolore in May 2012 with an auction result of CAD 663,750.00 (€ 518,695.61).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Paul-Émile Borduas kam im November 2012 bei Sothebys in Toronto zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von CAD 33.000,00 (€ 25.540,12) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul-Émile Borduas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Froissement Multicolore im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 663.750,00 (€ 518.695,61).
