The work La Volée by Paul-Émile Borduas was auctioned at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2011. It achieved a price of CAD 19,200.00 (€ 13,785.64), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul-Émile Borduas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Froissement Multicolore in May 2012 with an auction result of CAD 663,750.00 (€ 518,695.61).

Die Arbeit La Volée von Paul-Émile Borduas kam im Mai 2011 bei Sothebys in Toronto zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von CAD 19.200,00 (€ 13.785,64) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul-Émile Borduas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Froissement Multicolore im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 663.750,00 (€ 518.695,61).
