The work Bombardement by Paul-Émile Borduas was auctioned at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2012. The result of CAD 175,000.00 (€ 136,755.90) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of CAD 175,000.00 – 225,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul-Émile Borduas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Froissement Multicolore, which sold at auction in May 2012 for CAD 663,750.00 (€ 518,695.61).

Die Arbeit Bombardement von Paul-Émile Borduas kam im Mai 2012 bei Sothebys in Toronto zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von CAD 175.000,00 (€ 136.755,90) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 175.000,00 – 225.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul-Émile Borduas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Froissement Multicolore beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für CAD 663.750,00 (€ 518.695,61) versteigert wurde.
