The result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 33,619.10) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Delaroche have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Napoleon at Fontainebleau, 31 March 1814 in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 289,250.00 (€ 335,529.13).

Die Arbeit French the Field Of Battle von Paul Delaroche wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Art Treasures of America: The John F. Eulich Collection bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 33.619,10) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00.
