Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A self portrait by Paul Citroen was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2002. The price achieved of EUR 1,762.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,400.00 – 2,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Citroen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 36,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A self portrait von Paul Citroen kam im Januar 2002 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.762,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.400,00 – 2.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Citroen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 36.250,00.
