Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul-Charles Chocarne-Moreau could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art auction, the work Ready To Play changed hands for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,846.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul-Charles Chocarne-Moreau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Qui C'Etait? (Who Was It?) in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 50,900.00 (€ 71,273.17).
