Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reflecting Stream, Redding, Connecticut by Paul Caponigro was sold in the Prints & Photographs auction at Bonhams in Skinner Boston in January 2024. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,048.00 (€ 1,789.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul Caponigro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work West Hartford, Connecticut in June 2010 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,187.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reflecting Stream, Redding, Connecticut von Paul Caponigro wurde im Januar 2024 in der Auktion Prints & Photographs bei Bonhams in Skinner Boston versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.048,00 (€ 1.789,90) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Caponigro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit West Hartford, Connecticut im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.187,05).
