Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Paul Cadmus achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in August 2020. In the American Art Online auction, the work Apple Peeler sold for USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,126.34) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Cadmus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lloyd and Barbara Wescott in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 2,430,000.00 (€ 2,152,919.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Cadmus erzielte im August 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art Online wurde die Arbeit Apple Peeler für USD 56.250,00 (€ 47.126,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Cadmus erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lloyd and Barbara Wescott im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.430.000,00 (€ 2.152.919,29).
