Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2004 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Waiting With Donkey by Paul Bassingthwaighte. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 537.75 (€ 773.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Paul Bassingthwaighte have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2004 the work Child Resting was auctioned for GBP 836.50 (€ 1,183.88).

Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waiting With Donkey von Paul Bassingthwaighte zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 537,75 (€ 773,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Paul Bassingthwaighte konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2004 die Arbeit Child Resting für GBP 836,50 (€ 1.183,88) versteigert.
