Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Patrick Scott could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Irish Sale auction, the work Turf Stack changed hands for GBP 2,390.00 (€ 3,742.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Patrick Scott achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Goldpainting in September 2016 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 79,621.04).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Patrick Scott konnte im Mai 2002 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Irish Sale wechselte die Arbeit Turf Stack für GBP 2.390,00 (€ 3.742,77) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Patrick Scott erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Goldpainting im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 79.621,04).
