Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Nearing The Pierhead by Patrick Leonard. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,806.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by Patrick Leonard have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2018 the work The Coming Storm, County Dublin was auctioned for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,919.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nearing The Pierhead von Patrick Leonard zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.806,83) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Patrick Leonard konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2018 die Arbeit The Coming Storm, County Dublin für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.919,54) versteigert.
