Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three figures with large tree by Park Sookeun was sold in the Japanese and Korean Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2006. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,440.00 (€ 1,135.02) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Park Sookeun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tree and three figures, 1962 in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,986,500.00 (€ 1,545,192.91).

Die Arbeit Three figures with large tree von Park Sookeun wurde im September 2006 in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.440,00 (€ 1.135,02) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Park Sookeun erzielen.
