The work Coming home from market by Park Sookeun was sold in the Japanese And Korean Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2008. The »bidding war« ended at USD 657,000.00 (€ 415,691.24), 31% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Park Sookeun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tree and three figures, 1962, which sold at auction in September 2012 for USD 1,986,500.00 (€ 1,545,192.91).

Die Arbeit Coming home from market von Park Sookeun wurde im März 2008 in der Auktion Japanese And Korean Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 657.000,00 (€ 415.691,24) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Park Sookeun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tree and three figures, 1962 beobachtet, die im September 2012 für USD 1.986.500,00 (€ 1.545.192,91) versteigert wurde.
