It achieved a price of USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,754.17), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paresh Maity - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Morning, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 62,500.00 (€ 58,188.25).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Sujata); Untitled (Buddha) von Paresh Maity kam im März 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.754,17) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Für andere Arbeiten von Paresh Maity mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Morning beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 62.500,00 (€ 58.188,25) versteigert wurde.
