Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August this year Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online, which included the work Untitled (Figures in a doorway) by Paresh Maity. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,120.00 (€ 5,983.49). Admittedly, works by Paresh Maity have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Morning in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 58,188.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Figures in a doorway) von Paresh Maity zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.120,00 (€ 5.983,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paresh Maity auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Morning im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 58.188,25).
