In January 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings Including European Works of Art, which included the work The Baptism Of Christ by Paolo Fiammingo. The »bidding war« ended at USD 40,000.00 (€ 26,952.36), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Paolo Fiammingo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Ascension Of Virtue in November 2008 with an auction result of EUR 168,750.00.

Im Januar 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings Including European Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Baptism Of Christ von Paolo Fiammingo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 26.952,36) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paolo Fiammingo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Ascension Of Virtue im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 168.750,00.
