The »bidding war« ended at GBP 23,940.00 (€ 28,547.60), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Paolo Fiammingo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Ascension Of Virtue in November 2008 with an auction result of EUR 168,750.00.

Die Arbeit A kitchen interior von Paolo Fiammingo wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 23.940,00 (€ 28.547,60) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paolo Fiammingo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Ascension Of Virtue im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 168.750,00.
