Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Rest On The Return From Egypt by Paolo Caliari was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2017. The price achieved of GBP 237,000.00 (€ 266,708.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paolo Caliari have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Allegory of The City of Venice Adoring The Madonna And Child in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 2,505,000.00 (€ 1,609,069.89).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 237.000,00 (€ 266.708,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden.
