Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Lanscape After Rain by Pan Tianshou was worth HKD 312,000.00 (€ 38,931.19) to a buyer in July last year. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at POLY in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pan Tianshou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bamboo Valley in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 18,040,000.00 (€ 2,085,090.26).

Die Arbeit Lanscape After Rain von Pan Tianshou war einem Käufer im Juli letzten Jahres HKD 312.000,00 (€ 38.931,19) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pan Tianshou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bamboo Valley im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 18.040.000,00 (€ 2.085.090,26).
