Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work The Cabinet by Paloma Varga Weisz for USD 22,500.00 (€ 18,262.99). This price was achieved in the auction TO LIVE WITH ART: Property from the Jerome & Ellen Stern Collection at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paloma Varga Weisz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2010 for USD 46,875.00 (€ 37,897.16).

Im März 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Cabinet von Paloma Varga Weisz für USD 22.500,00 (€ 18.262,99) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion TO LIVE WITH ART: Property from the Jerome & Ellen Stern Collection bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paloma Varga Weisz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für USD 46.875,00 (€ 37.897,16) versteigert wurde.
