Upper estimate price exceeded by 58 %.
The work Torse De Jeune Gitan by Pablo Gargallo was sold in the Modern Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2014. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 23,750.00 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Gargallo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Masque D'Arlequin Souriant Iii, 1927 in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 490,896.00.
