The work Yawk Yawk, 1998 by Owen Yalandja was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne in August 2021. The price achieved of AUD 14,760.00 (€ 12,508.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Yawk Yawk, 1998 is the most expensive artwork by Owen Yalandja that we have observed at auctions so far.
