In July 2009 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Aboriginal Art, which included the work Awk Spirit Figures by Owen Yalandja. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 19,200.00 (€ 10,870.31), 28% above the upper estimate. Other works by Owen Yalandja have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of AUD 14,760.00 (€ 12,508.47) in August 2021 for the work Yawk Yawk, 1998.

Im Juli 2009 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Aboriginal Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Awk Spirit Figures von Owen Yalandja zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 19.200,00 (€ 10.870,31) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Owen Yalandja haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von AUD 14.760,00 (€ 12.508,47) im August 2021 für die Arbeit Yawk Yawk, 1998 beobachtet.
