Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Eight prints from 'Umbo, 10 Photographs', 1927-1930, by Umbo was auctioned at Christies in New York in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,190.00 (€ 7,772.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Umbo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Das neueste Angebot en profil in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 32,900.00 (€ 38,769.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Eight prints from 'Umbo, 10 Photographs', 1927-1930, von Umbo kam im April letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.190,00 (€ 7.772,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Umbo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Das neueste Angebot en profil im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.900,00 (€ 38.769,74).
