Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2016 Christies in London held the auction The Ski Sale, which included the work Interlaken, The Alpine Wonderland by Otto Baumberger. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,145.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Otto Baumberger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work PKZ in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,459.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Ski Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Interlaken, The Alpine Wonderland von Otto Baumberger zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.145,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Otto Baumberger auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit PKZ im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.459,92).
