The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,585.00 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Otto B. de Kat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work De ronde tafel - Ukkel, which sold at auction in November 2003 for EUR 7,528.50.

Die Arbeit Still life with apples in a bowl von Otto B. de Kat wurde im November 2003 in der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.585,00 und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Otto B. de Kat mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit De ronde tafel - Ukkel beobachtet, die im November 2003 für EUR 7.528,50 versteigert wurde.
